Outer space shuttle Atlantis (SSN-84) and its crew of three astronauts launched in the 1960s.
Atlantis (S-84B) and Atlantis II (SS-84C) made the first two space shuttle flights in 1977.
Atlantis was the first crewed space shuttle to make it into orbit and Atlantis was later renamed Atlantis III (SSBN-84).
Atlantis III launched to the International Space Station in 1997, where it was returned in 2003 to serve as the primary cargo ship for the ISS.
Atlantis II was also returned to orbit, and Atlantis III was returned to service in 2012.
Atlantis III made the last of its three shuttle flights back in February 2017, and its final flight will be on October 20.
Atlantis IV will make the first of two spacewalks on January 12, 2019, and will be returning to the station for the last time.
Atlantis V will be the first to make its way into space and will also be returning in 2021.
Atlantis VI will be sent to the Moon in 2024.
Atlantis VII will make its first spacewalk in 2021, and is slated to return in 2021 with a mission to the ISS, which will be its last.
Atlantis VIII will be launched in 2019, which is scheduled to launch in 2024 and return in 2026.
Atlantis IX will be returned to the Space Station on February 11, 2019.
Atlantis X will be deployed in 2021 and will return in 2025.
Atlantis XI will make a spacewalker mission in 2021 in order to return to Earth in 2027.
Atlantis XII will return to the Earth in 2021 to make a space station landing on October 22.
Atlantis XIII will make an orbiter flight in 2029 and will send it to the orbiting International Space station.
Atlantis XIV will be carried to orbit by the International Air Transport Association on January 17, 2029.
Atlantis XV will be delivered to the space station in 2034 and will launch in 2039.
Atlantis XVI will make two space station rendezvous missions in 2044 and 2045.
Atlantis Z will be transported to orbit in 2049, but is scheduled for launch in 2022.
Atlantis L will be recovered by the Japanese Space Agency in 2056 and will make three more spacewalking missions.
Atlantis M will be shipped to orbit on December 17, 2021, while Atlantis N will be brought to orbit with the Japanese space agency on November 12, 2021.
