STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI is set to be the biggest blockbuster of the year, according a new poll, with more than a quarter of those surveyed saying they were excited about the film.
In a new survey by comScore and MarketWatch, which surveyed more than 1,000 moviegoers over the course of March, 42 percent of respondents said they were more excited about Star Wars Episode VIII than Star Wars The Last Chapter.
A total of 50 percent said they weren’t much more excited.
The poll found that the last film in the franchise, which hit theaters in December 2015, was the best-selling movie of the entire year.
A similar poll from the same research firm, however, showed that only 25 percent of people who watched the last movie in the series were more interested in seeing Episode IX than The Last Episode.
